I built my Voron v1.8 about a year ago and have always struggled with getting a good first layer across the bed. I was starting to give up hope when I came across this article, which fixed my issue. So, firstly, thanks! Second, it is stated early in the article, but I think it should be emphasized more: if you have a twisting tool head, your probe measurements will be inaccurate and lead to unexpected issues with bed leveling and bed meshes. What is worse is that your probe will be off in the wrong direction (i.e., if your probe measures low, your nozzle will actually be high). This has to do with the location of the probe with respect to the nozzle and the pivot axis of the twist. In my case, even with a bed measure, I wasn’t able to get a good first layer across the bed. At the time, I thought I was applying the bed mesh incorrectly, but it was actually that I had a bad mesh measurement from the probe. Hope this helps future people that run across this article.
